it would be nice to be able to go to the calendar page and click on to a specific date and add/edit an event. I understand that currently only the admin. can alter the contents. Any changes due soon?

This again is a "watch & see" kind of thing. I know the birthday thing became popular at Neighborhood the First; and that can now be done from a person's forum profile (Profile> Forum Profile Information> Birthdate). I'm sure some would like to put in a fictitious year ; but the month & day can be set; and then birthdays will pop up on the calendar.

As for other events, I think we'll keep it at just posting topics for events right now. We can always link them later as needs be.
