He does. As for guitars:

David:
* Gibson Custom Shop SG with PAF's and a Vibrola (with handle removed)
* Gibson SG with P90's
* 62 Telecaster reissue body (3 tone sunburst, double binding) with a maple neck and a Gretsch Filtertron pickup in the bridge.

Cesar:
* white Custom Shop Telecaster, black pickguard, light relic
* black Les Paul Custom with PAF's

Louie:
* black Custom Shop 62 Stratocaster with red tortoise pickguard (and Jimi Hendrix sticker)
* black Custom Shop 52 Telecaster with Bigsby (and Santa Maria de Guadalupe sticker)


Amps:

Fender Hot Rod DeVille 4x10 (no Quilter on this tour)

Cesar:
2 Fender 59 Bassman 4x10 reissues

Seems like the last few shows I've seen DH was using a Quilter head into the Fender amp. One gig the head crapped out and Rick was dancing around trying to fix it and finally pulled the Quilter and went straight into the Fender. I haven't seen DH run the Quilter Combo in a couple of years. Those Quilters are showing up at a lot of shows I've seen lately.

Bart: Thanks for posting these photos.  I haven't seen LL live in over a year, but the last time I did, David and Cesar's pedalboards looked much different.  I didn't get a good look at Louie's at that show.  I will try to find my own photos from that show.  It seems the guys change things up often.  What happened to the JAM brand effects?  I'm under the impression that LL don't often fly with their own amps, but they would bring their own stomp boxes, yes?  Anyway, I love the overall minimalism.  Maybe tone really is mostly "in the fingers."  Bob in Louisville

Hi Bob,

They do change things up quite a bit. I remember David using the little Ibanez Soundtanks around 1992, or two Turbo Tubescreamers around 2000, and a Pigtronix Class A boost up until recently. At the moment the Xotic EP booster (which basically is the preamp of an Echoplex) is his new best friend. The Xotic SP is a compressor (replacing the JAM), and the TC Electronix Corona is a chorus pedal.

They don't fly with their own amps, it's a hassle. David loved his Quilter top, which he plugged into any rental Fender Hot Rod DeVille (until the top malfunctioned mid-concert a few months ago). He went back to DeVilles - these things are terribly loud. In smaller venues David and Louie both use a Hot Rod Deluxe, or even a Pro Junior. When playing in the LA area Cesar brings a tweed Bassman and an Eric Clapton Tremolux. Most of Kiko was recorded on Ampeg Reverberockets (like mine, hurray!). For the new album they used Fender Deluxe Reverbs and a Supro, a.o.

DH & LP were playing Deluxe Reverbs , while CR was running threw a tiny Rockbox two weeks ago.

Bart and Voodoostrat: Thanks guys.  This is an interesting thread to me.  I too have seen DH and LP using Hot Rods.  CR seems to be a strict 4x10 guy.  I have a Hot Rod, and the damned thing is just too loud.  I have two Pro Juniors that I much prefer, for their simplicity, light weight, and 10" speaker.  I can't afford a Princeton, which would be my first choice.  I "play" a Telecaster and an SG Jr.  For some reason, my Teles don't sound like David (Gee, I wonder why THAT would be......).  My pedals are Big Muff, Boss Chorus, Keeley Neutrino Envelope Filter (I'm a J. Garcia freak), and a Boss Trem.  Oh, and I play lefty like Cesar, and greatly envy his collection of 335's.  I know that this info is not strictly LL specific, but just thought I'd throw it out there.  Bob in Louisville.

Gear talk is always fun :-) I used to have a '94 tweed Blues Deluxe. These were already loud, and the Hot Rods are even worse. That's the reason why I sold it. Still love my cream tolex Pro Junior (with 'clean' tubes for more headroom and less tube rattle). Princetons are the coolest. Check out country-jazz player Jim Campilongo!
I play a '62 Tele reissue (Jap), a '66 Strat reissue (Jap, the Hendrix model, but I put a spare '62 neck on it), a Tele Road Worn heavy relic with Nocaster pickups and a Tele Road Worn light relic with Steffsen pickups (my poor man's Nocasters...), and a Gibson ES-165-Herb Ellis.
DH has played my '62 Tele in concert and warmed up with my heavy relic Road Worn. He loved them.
