Los Lobos and Flat Top Joint

 At a show at Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown, Ca., earlier this year , the band played "Flat Top Joint," a song written by Dave Alvin that was featured on the Blasters' "American Music" album on Rollin Rock Records. At the end of the previous song ("Chucco's Cumbia), Dave talks about the song and it sounds like Los Lobos is working on or recorded an album of cover songs. I'm not sure it's a Los Lobos album or an album on which the band recorded "Flat Top Joint" and will include other artists. The sound is a little unclear.  Has anyone heard anything about this?
