Help with Border Town Girl
« on: June 07, 2012, 11:57:05 am »
Need some help folks.  Anyone know the complete lyrics to Border Town Girl?  Me and some of my students will be performing this song (actually Honky Tonk Woman into Border Town Girl) at a benefit on Friday 6/8/12  and I am missing a few lines.  Third verse right after "Sure glad we made it to town....." And the start of the fourth verse where is sounds like something about cruising.

Would love the help on these two lines.

Thanks and peace
Elvis

Here's what i got, Cesar's a little mumbly in those few lines. Just swing it good and it will be cool...all the way to Mexico!

she was a five foot seven
a cute kinda girl
her wheels were ready to roll
i shift them gears
i threw it low
all the way to san antone

i got to her house
she was glad to be free
her mama let her outta the house
she jumped in my chevy
called me her baby
all the way to mexico

well a border town girl
yeah my border town baby
border town girl
and i love her everyday

well we got to the border
a quarter to nine
sure glad we made it in time
then i can slip
with this little girl
all the way to mexico

well a border town girl
yeah my border town baby
border town girl
and i love her everyday…all day

run around cruzin'
made back safe
had the greatest time of my life
i can't hardly wait for the weekend to break
and see her down in mexico

hey the border town girl
yeah the border town baby
border town girl
and i love her everyday…ah here we go

well the border town girl
yeah the border town baby
border town girl
and i love her everyday

border town girl
and i love her everyday

border town girl
and i love her everyday
