Saw Los Lobos open for Neil Young Friday August 3 in Albuquerque Huh?. Where was Cesar Rojas? Anyone know? Huh?

I heard he was MIA - he either was sick or had travel issues of some kind...not sure of the details yet but I'll find out.  Look at the bright side, nobody had to cumbia ;-)

Funny, because last summer at the Isleta Hard Rock, when the Lobos opened for Los Lonely Boys, David was missing, so that was mostly Cesar's show.  Last night was David's show; opened with Will The Wolf, did Kiko, Bertha (Louis played some great lead before David's solo), ended with Mas y Mas; no La Bamba.  Though it was only 45 minutes, perhaps a cosmic balance has been achieved for the Isleta nation...  Anywho, the entire Lobos show in the Burque at the Civic Center on June 16 was as good as it gets...
