Blue Ocean Music Hall next show in queue
« on: August 26, 2019, 02:31:08 pm »
I'm looking forward to seeing LL at my homebase.
The last time around I felt the attendance for the show was disappointing....so come out and support the band so they can come back soon here.....and on Friday the 13th....what could go wrong?

Counting on it. No guarantees for me though...

I had an excellent time Friday.
Many in attendance; family, friends, show regulars, and people here at The Neighborhood....a real homecoming.
Nothing like a show close to home at my place where I volunteer.
I hope to see them there again next year.
Already looking forward to the City Winery shows in December. :yahoo:

Man,work has been ridiculous the last 5 weeks .Still managed a couple shows though, this being one that I am soooo glad I made.An afternoon start the next day made things easier.Set 1 Veracruz,Colas,Cascabel,Pistola,Ojos,Saint,LITTLE JOHN OF GOD(holy shit moment no.1)Guantanamera,Wolf Teresa Set 2 Pipeline(holy shit no.2),DWB,Evangeline,Chucos,Chains of love,Papa>Cant>One way out,WLA,GMA Encore Cinnamon girl,Politicion,Whats going on(Barrence on last two)I was hoping for Little John of God 7 years ago at the Club Casino with Levon Helm that cancelled because Levon was so sick, and so had written it off in my mind of ever seeing live.Even Louie thought they only played it a small handful of times over the decades.`Pipeline` I`ve seen at Grand Targhee paired with DWB(still on of my fav shows)One humorous moment I had was when I commented to a waitress that she was getting paid to see this stellar show. Then she told me it was her first night working venue.Sorry Honey ,but musicwise, its all downhill from here until the boys return to Salisbury

Oh,and it was nice to finally put a face to wharfrat.Plus the full moon rising over the ocean during show was an unforgettable sight through the huge windows the venue has.

I call the Blue Ocean an extension of my living room....I've been volunteering there for about 9 years and have seen many memorable shows, with acts like: Los Lobos, Blue Oyster Cult, Rickie Lee Jones, Robert Cray, The Machine, Peter Wolf, Jimmie Vaughan, Ronnie Earle, Southside Johnny, Tom Rush, Judy Collins, to name a few, to have all played there on multiple occasions.
