Bonus tracks on Japanese CDs
« on: February 28, 2020, 09:12:21 am »
Recently, I was listening to "Little Brother," a bonus track on the Japanese release of "Good Morning Aztlan" in 2002 and "Monstra's Out," a bonus track on the Japanese release of "The Ride" in 2004. Does anyone know the songwriting credits for these songs? Also, I was wondering who is singing lead. "Little Brother" has a Sly and the Family Stone vibe and "Monstra's Out" reminds me a little of "Viking."

I remember that "Monstra's Out" was reputedly going release a version that had Billy Gibbons participate; but that fell through. There were posts on the topic from the early version of "The Neighborhood" that did not transfer when we reformatted in 2004.

Little Brother...eh, the gray matter's turning to guacamole. I just can't remember.

Thanks for the information. I have a vague recollection of reading that Billy Gibbons was supposed to be a guest artist on "The Ride."
From what I can determine, the band has never played "Little Brother" or "Monstra's Out" in concert.
