Well, it was nice to see Dave and Louie and we made a donation to the cause. But it was a telethon, so just one song apiece, some cheesy in-between stuff, and the video was awful. The audio, though, was excellent and I enjoyed a lot of the artists, even the ones I’d never heard before.

It would be great if LL did their own livestream shows.

they’re definitely putting something together, but I haven’t been given the impression that they plan on playing in the same room

Looking forward to it. From the telethon it seemed like the audio worked fine with Dave and Louie being in separate places. Might get trickier adding other players but that’s a job for the LL tech team! Definitely better for the guys to be safe and stay apart for now. We want everyone healthy when the insanity ends!

i would have to confirm w/ the dudes, but i'm pretty sure Dave's part was recorded first
then Louie played over Dave's recording
sort of like a video overdub
and i bet they stole that idea from Jack and Jorma

latency pretty much makes live gigging via zoom, etc. impossible

The members of Cypress Hill did a livestream yesterday for 4/20. They used LiveXLive as a platform and it appeared they were performing simultaneously (though from different locations), but I couldn’t tell for sure. The audio was rough but it was a pretty cool production overall.
